Start the morning with the decisions only you can make
Before the day fills with calls, decide where your attention is needed. ServicePro IQ gives you Daily Huddle, Business Snapshot and supporting reports built from Housecall Pro data. Use a short morning sequence to find the exceptions, assign follow-up and let the team get on with the work.

Do not let every number become your morning job
A home-service owner can spend the first hour answering questions that belong to several different people. Dispatch needs a decision about today. The office has an unpaid invoice. A crew leader has a question about yesterday’s job. Without a routine, whichever message arrives first sets the agenda.
The purpose of a morning review is to sort those decisions. What needs your judgment now? What needs an owner elsewhere on the team? What can wait for a weekly review? A useful report habit should end with fewer open questions in your head and clearer responsibilities in the business.
Keep the team huddle routine separate from your preparation. Read enough to ask useful questions before the meeting, then let the people closest to the work help explain what they know.
Move from scheduled work to business exceptions
Start with Daily Huddle for yesterday’s, today’s and tomorrow’s scheduled jobs. It shows customer, field tech, lead source, tags, outstanding balance and revenue, with each day’s scheduled revenue against its goal. Job links take you directly to Housecall Pro when you need the source record.
Business Snapshot gives you year-to-date revenue, new customers, collected revenue and unscheduled customers. Its charts cover revenue, revenue by job type, estimates given, new customers and cancelled jobs for your selected period. Goals appear where set, and the previous period appears alongside the current one.
If an issue needs detail, choose the report that fits it. A/R includes outstanding invoices and balance trends. Profit lists completed-job cost, revenue, profit and profit percentage. You do not need to inspect every page every morning; use the overview to decide which question deserves a closer look.
Follow a short sequence and assign the next step
First check the range and filters. Reports open on the current Sunday-to-Saturday week unless you select another range, and filters carry between pages. Then review immediate work before moving to longer-term questions. Do not let a leftover employee or lead-source filter stand in for the whole business.
- Check today’s scheduled work and tomorrow’s preparation.
- Look for a business measure that needs explanation.
- Open the relevant job or invoice detail.
- Assign the next action to one person.
- Choose when you need an answer.
For example, a plumbing owner might see a thin schedule for tomorrow and an outstanding balance on a recent replacement. Those are two different tasks. The office can investigate suitable work to schedule, while the person handling invoices checks the balance and any customer question.
Use accounts receivable reporting to give the payment follow-up a consistent process instead of revisiting it from scratch each morning.
Keep the owner’s review distinct from the team meeting
This routine fits owners who need to decide where to intervene without taking over every task. A small electrical business may share the review with its office manager. A larger cleaning operation may ask each supervisor to investigate the work they know best before returning with an explanation.
ServicePro IQ runs in a browser and works on phones. On small screens, job rows become compact cards and filters fold into a one-line summary. That supports reviewing the figures away from a desk, although a complicated job-cost question may still deserve a focused conversation later.
Use the weekly review for repeated issues and coaching. The morning review should identify the immediate decision, not turn every unusual figure into a long investigation before the team begins work. Keep your action notes in the management process you already use.
Know when the reports refresh
ServicePro IQ connects directly to Housecall Pro and requires its MAX plan, because that plan provides API keys. An admin creates the key in the Housecall Pro App Store by searching for API and choosing Generate API key. We send a one-time link where you paste it. The link works for seven days, and only the newest link for your business works.
The key is checked when you paste it and stored encrypted. ServicePro IQ reads your Housecall Pro data without changing your account. Your contact tells you when your reports are ready. Job and revenue figures refresh hourly at 20 minutes past the hour. Customer lists behind Pipeline and Unscheduled Customers refresh daily.

Frequently asked questions
Are owner morning reports emailed automatically?
The documented experience is browser-based reporting at app.serviceproiq.com. This routine describes opening and reviewing those reports; it does not assume an automatic email digest or scheduled delivery.
Which report should I open first?
For immediate work, begin with Daily Huddle. For the wider business position, use Business Snapshot. Then open A/R, Profit or Revenue only when the question in front of you calls for that detail.
Can my office manager share the review?
Yes. Owners can add staff using Google email addresses. One subscription covers unlimited users, and you choose whether each person also has permission to add and remove users.
