Read today’s revenue with the right context
A daily revenue review should tell you what the number represents before you act on it. ServicePro IQ brings together a Revenue page, daily scheduled revenue in the Daily Huddle and collected revenue in Business Snapshot. Use the view that matches the decision in front of you.
On this page
One revenue number cannot answer every question
A cleaning business might have a full day scheduled while some completed work remains unpaid. A roofing company might see a large job dominate one day’s figures. Both situations require context before an owner decides that the business is ahead or behind.
Start by naming the question. Are you checking today’s scheduled work, the selected period’s revenue, or how much of scheduled-job revenue is no longer outstanding? Mixing those questions makes a daily review confusing, even when each individual number is correct.
Keep the accounts receivable report in your routine for the payment question. A revenue trend and an outstanding balance can move in different directions without either figure being wrong.
Match the report to the revenue question
The Revenue page shows total and year-to-date revenue, a running-total line against the revenue goal, revenue by lead source, the job list and cancellations. Use it to put the selected period’s revenue beside the goal and inspect the work behind the total.
The Daily Huddle shows scheduled jobs for yesterday, today and tomorrow, with each day’s scheduled revenue against its daily goal. Business Snapshot shows year-to-date collected revenue. In ServicePro IQ, collected revenue means revenue from scheduled jobs minus what remains outstanding on those jobs.
Reports open on the current week, Sunday through Saturday, unless you choose another range. Every report supports date-range filtering and day, week, month or year views. Check that setting first: an incomplete current week is not the same comparison as a completed week.
Run a daily check without overreacting to one job
Begin with the date range and active filters. Then inspect revenue against the goal and look at the job list for context. If something changed sharply, ask which work accounts for it. A large project can explain a movement that would otherwise look like a broad shift in demand.
For a made-up example, suppose an electrical business schedules a $6,000 panel project alongside $2,000 of smaller work. Losing or moving that project has a much larger effect than a single $200 service call. The first question is what happened to that job, not whether every technician had a poor day.
- Confirm the period and filters.
- Review the revenue position against the goal.
- Inspect jobs and cancellations for explanations.
- Separate scheduling questions from collection questions.
- Choose the next operational action.
Use the Daily Huddle for the team conversation about near-term work after you understand the reporting context.
Build a useful habit for the owner and office
Daily revenue reporting fits businesses where the schedule changes and an owner needs a regular check on the work. It is most useful when the review leads to a specific question for dispatch, an estimator or the person handling customer follow-up.
Do not turn each fluctuation into a new policy. A short-term dip may reflect job timing, while a pattern across comparable periods may deserve a change in the plan. ServicePro IQ charts show the previous period alongside the current one, so use that context with care when the current period is still underway.
For a view of the work mix, use revenue trends by service. That review asks which job types account for revenue, while the daily routine asks what changed and what requires attention now. Record the action outside the report in your usual team process.
Know the refresh schedule and connection requirements
ServicePro IQ connects directly to Housecall Pro and requires its MAX plan, because that plan provides API keys. An admin creates the key in the Housecall Pro App Store by searching for API and choosing Generate API key. We send a one-time link where you paste it. The link works for seven days, and only the newest link for your business works.
The key is checked when you paste it and stored encrypted. ServicePro IQ reads your Housecall Pro data without changing your account. Your contact tells you when your reports are ready. Job and revenue figures refresh once an hour, at 20 minutes past the hour. Check Housecall Pro for a change made after the latest refresh.

Frequently asked questions
Is the revenue report updated continuously?
Job and revenue figures refresh hourly at 20 minutes past the hour. It is an hourly reporting view, so a change made just after a refresh may not appear until the next one.
Can I look at a single day?
Yes. Reports can be filtered by date range and by day, week, month or year. Check any other active filters because they remain selected as you move between report pages.
Where do I find scheduled revenue versus collected revenue?
The Daily Huddle shows each day’s scheduled revenue against its daily goal. Business Snapshot shows year-to-date collected revenue, defined as scheduled-job revenue minus the outstanding balance on those jobs.
