Track Housecall Pro revenue against useful goals
A revenue target should help the team plan the work. ServicePro IQ uses your own history to suggest monthly goals, lets you adjust them, and shows revenue against goals in the reports. Use the daily view for today’s conversation and the monthly view to check the direction of the business.

Give the team a target they can explain
A landscaping business should expect different work patterns across the year. An HVAC shop may have a busy stretch followed by a quieter month. If the team cannot explain how a target relates to those conditions, the number may create arguments instead of useful planning.
Start with the calendar, the work you can reasonably deliver and the history you have. Then ask what has changed. A new crew, a shorter working month or a different mix of services may justify a different target. A goal is a planning choice; it is not a forecast that guarantees the jobs will arrive.
Keep revenue goals distinct from profit goals. More revenue does not establish better job economics. Use the profit per job report when the discussion needs recorded job costs as well as sales value.
How the suggested goals work
ServicePro IQ sets monthly goals for revenue, new customers and estimates given. Each suggestion starts with the same month last year and grows it by your recent trend, from 0% to 15%, never below last year. That gives you a history-based starting point, not an industry benchmark.
You can replace the suggestion with a fixed monthly amount, a percentage above or below the suggestion, or a starting goal that grows by a set percentage each year. You can also set any single month by hand. A new goal rule does not change goals for months already past.
Fixed and growth goals can follow your seasons. Monthly goals are spread across days according to the way your work usually falls across the week. New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas receive no goal.
Use the daily gap to choose an action
The Daily Huddle shows scheduled revenue against each day’s revenue goal. The Revenue page shows a running-total line against the revenue goal, along with total revenue, year-to-date revenue and the job list. Use the daily view to prepare and the running total to judge progress over the period.
Suppose, as a made-up example, today has $3,000 scheduled against a $4,000 goal. Ask what explains the $1,000 difference. A rescheduled installation, an unfilled opening and an unsuitable target require different responses. Check the job context before asking someone to solve a gap they do not control.
Choose a practical action: confirm an approved job’s availability, review tomorrow’s workload, or revisit the target with the person allowed to change it. The Housecall Pro Daily Huddle report keeps that discussion close to the scheduled work.
Make goal reviews useful for owners and managers
This capability fits owners setting direction and managers translating that direction into daily planning. People with report access can view goals. Only people who can manage users can change them, which gives the business a clear point of responsibility for target changes.
Review the assumptions before changing a rule. Record why you chose a fixed amount or a growth rate in your management notes. Next month, revisit that reasoning alongside the actual work rather than quietly moving the target to match the result.
The Business Snapshot charts revenue, revenue by job type, estimates given, new customers and cancelled jobs for the selected period, against goals where set. Use the Housecall Pro KPI guide to select the supporting measures that explain progress. A revenue gap alone cannot tell you whether the issue is demand, scheduling or job mix.
Connect Housecall Pro and check the period
ServicePro IQ connects directly to Housecall Pro and requires its MAX plan, because that plan provides API keys. During setup, you receive a one-time link where you paste your Housecall Pro API key. ServicePro IQ checks it immediately. Your contact lets you know when your reports are ready. The connection reads your data without changing your Housecall Pro account.
Reports open on the current week, Sunday to Saturday, unless you choose another range. Check the date range before comparing a monthly target with a shorter period. You sign in with a Google account and use ServicePro IQ in a web browser, with nothing to install. One subscription covers unlimited users and unlimited reports. The price is $449 per month or $4,490 per year prepaid by ACH; paying by card adds 3.5%. Review pricing and the Housecall Pro integration overview before you start your free 7-day trial. Frequently asked questions
Can I lower a suggested goal?
You can replace a suggestion with a fixed monthly amount, a percentage above or below the suggestion, or a growing starting goal. You can also set a single month by hand.
Will a new rule rewrite previous months?
No. A new goal rule does not change goals for months that have already passed. Keep that historical context when reviewing earlier results.
Who can change goals?
Only people who can manage users can change goals. Everyone else with report access can view them. Owners choose whether each person can add and remove users.
